AN EMPIRICAL EVALUATION OF MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT NEEDS AND ACCESS AMONG YOUNG LGBTI+ INDIVIDUALS IN VIETNAM

Young LGBTI+ individuals in Vietnam currently face pressures, discrimination, and multitudes of barriers when accessing mental healthcare services. The study was conducted to understand and propose solutions to this issue. The research findings addressed questions about the need for psychological support, experiences when accessing services, and the barriers the community currently faces within the healthcare system. Findings adequately portrayed the current context, while safer and more inclusive psychological support models for the LGBTI+ community were recommended.
